Search engine friendly articles are the main contributors to increase your blog visitors. I am writing this tips because, I have gain huge traffic from these methods. I want to tell you my secret of blogging because, I don’t only need visitors to my blog, but also I need regular readers.
Here are some points which will answers to the question,
“How to write search engine friendly articles”:
These are the quick points to be taken note of. I begin with the “content”. Yes, write the articles or blog posts or news or reviews (anything you call it!) at least of 350 words and maximum to 1000 words. More you write, more you gain. But, why do you want to waste the words in a single article? If you have more than 1200 words, then make it 2 articles, part 1 and part 2.
When writing article, keep 1 keyword or 2 keywords in your mind and start to weave articles around it. Don’t go for single keywords, such as “music”, instead go for “slow rock music” or “top music of 2011” etc. Just focus on the keyword. Single keywords are always competitive and long tail keywords are lesser.
Include these keywords in article title, include keywords in first sentence of the article, and include keywords in the Meta title and Meta description areas. Use this keyword in the image, which is going to be used in the article, use it in the alt tag of the image also.
Try to make the density of your focused keywords at around 4% of the total words. There are many plugins are available in wordpress, to check the density of the keywords. Don’t over use it, you will be penalized and your content goes down in the search engines. Search engines will take more keywords density as “keyword stuffing”. Few years back, this “keyword stuffing” was working well for many websites. But, it reduces the quality of the article.
Write for humans, keeping search engines in mind. But, don’t write for search engines, by keeping humans in mind. Your ultimate target is readers. They will come again and again to see your latest articles, if and only if you write reader friendly articles. This will reduce your bounce rate too.
Use your focused keywords in h1, h2 and h3 tags, to write search engine friendly articles. Most of the themes in wordpress and bloggers use the h1 tag for its title; so don’t worry about h1 tag. Include h2 and h3 tags in between the posts as I did in this post. Use italics, underline and bold to your focused keywords, if possible. This will give little weight to your article or blog post.
Inside linking is the main contributor to keep your content in the top position in search engines. So, link your old posts to the articles and better you make link from the focused keywords to the related articles, then this keyword is called as “anchor texts”.
